Hi readers,
Itβs a sure sign of spring in the Cowichan Valley when the cherry blossom trees on Canada Avenue are in full bloom! Thereβs something so magical about walking underneath them in the morning when I take my pup, Arthur, out and they are a great reminder of why this is my favourite time of the year. What do you love about spring?
With the federal election campaign kicking off this week, we created a guide that brings together all the information you need to get out and vote on April 28. Be sure to check that page regularly. Weβll be updating the guide as the campaign progresses and Iβll be sure to let you know when we do so. Find the voter guide linked below!
Also, community members and officials from the City of Nanaimo gathered to raise a flag at city hall to mark Transgender Day of Visibility. Read more about that event in a story by my colleague Mick Sweetman at the link below.
