The Discourse's Cowichan This Week logo

Hi readers,

First of all, thanks to everyone who sent me a picture of the snow this week! Here are just a couple of the photos I received:

Also, this week, Cowichan Green Community announced a new executive director would replace Judy Stafford, who has been leading the organization for 17 years and will retire in May.

Stafford and I got the chance to talk about her years of serving the community and how the landscape for non-profits and food security organizations has changed since she started working in that space in 2007. You’ll also get to learn more about incoming executive director Vanessa Daether — who has worked for the organization before — and her vision for Cowichan Green Community.
