The Discourse invites you to celebrate independent community news on Wednesday, June 11! 

We hope you'll join us from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the patio at Red Arrow Brewing Co. in Duncan. 

For eight years (!), our small team of journalists has delivered on a vision for independent, in-depth and solutions-focused news in the Cowichan Valley.

Back in 2022, at this very same patio, we celebrated our five year anniversary with Cowichan Valley’s founding reporter Jacqueline Ronson. It warms our hearts to see this photo of a reader giving Jacqueline a hug to say thanks for all of the work she did to shine a light on untold local stories.
