There is so much music in this city. From large festivals with major headliners to smaller shows with local acts, I love seeing the diversity in the music scene. There are opportunities for musicians and artists of all ages and backgrounds to share their work with the community, and I think that’s pretty cool.

This weekend, Nanaimo-based Caveman & the Banshee (and owners of record store NOISEAGONYMAYHEM) will play their last local show for a while to celebrate their 30th anniversary at The Globe Live Studio. They’ll be playing alongside Syrinx, Conjure Hand, Red Lenses and Among Legends.

If that doesn’t pique your interest, you can also catch other performances at venues like The Vault Cafe and The Queen’s, or participate in one of the many events taking place around Nanaimo this week. Check out our listings below for more.
