For a number of years I lived in the Rock City neighbourhood and still visit friends there regularly. At first glance it is your typical residential neighbourhood with many of Nanaimo’s ubiquitous cul-de-sacs.

But the people who live there are as diverse and creative as anywhere in the city, and this Saturday will be showcasing their art in Stiil’nep, the Departure Bay Kin Hut. 

A post on the Rock City Neighbourhood Association's Facebook page stresses that the show “is not an art sale, it is a celebration of art for art's sake.”
